Stereographic “Little Planet” is a plugin filter that transforms 2:1 equirectangular sources to 1:1 stereographic “little planet” projection. The filter can be applied to either 1:1 or 2:1 “anchor” media, but does not currently support stereoscopic sources.

The plugin works with Final Cut Pro X, Premiere Pro, Apple Motion and Adobe After Effects and is included as a component of 360VR Toolbox.

Parameter Control:
Presets – Users can save the parameter configuration as a preset to be retrieved later by any instance of the plugin.

Source – Default: Other Layer/Image Well. This specifies the equirectangular source. The plugin is designed to be applied to a 1:1 aspect ratio clip (slug/black media or solid layer) and then fed a 2:1 source clip, or simply applied directly to a 2:1 equirectangular source.

Source Layer – In Adobe host apps use this option to select the source layer in the comp/sequence where the 1:1 fisheye media resides. In Apple apps use the image well to point the plugin to the fisheye source (either in the sequence or in an Event.)

Rotation – Rotates the stereographic little planet projection.

Background – Default: Transparent. Only affects the areas around the round stereographic projection allowing the projection to be composited over other media (transparent mode) or to fill the pixels with an average colour of the zenith.

Overlay Guides – Default: Off. Displays the 6 views (front, back, left, right, top, bottom) of 90° vertical and horizontal field of view with simple grey lines. Also toggles optional faces and text settings on or off.

Overlay Faces – Default: Off. Displays the 6 views (front, back, left, right, top, bottom) of 90° vertical and horizontal field of view as 6 different colour overlays. Only visible if Overlay Guides is on.

Overlay Text – Default: Off. Displays the 6 views (front, back, left, right, top, bottom) of 90° vertical and horizontal field of view with the names front, back, left, right, top, bottom. Only visible if Overlay Guides is on.
