Reorient Sphere is a plugin filter that reorients a 2:1 equirectangular projection. The filter must be applied to 2:1 equirectangular media. The plugin compatible with monoscopic 2D or stereoscopic 3D over/under sources.

The plugin works with Final Cut Pro X, Premiere Pro, Apple Motion and Adobe After Effects and is included as a component of 360VR Toolbox.

Parameter Control:
Presets – Users can save the parameter configuration as a preset to be retrieved later by any instance of the plugin.

View – Default Reoriented Projection. Selects whether to display the equirectangular projection as defined by the tilt, pan, roll, scale parameters or to view the original. A third option “Forward/Backward Hemispheres” displays two hemispheres that represent both sides of the sphere.

Tilt, Pan and Roll – Place the center of the fisheye anywhere in the spherical equirectangular projection. This is useful to specify which direction the fisheye was pointing. For example, forward facing should remain at 0,0,0, but upward facing would be 0,90,0.

Overlay Guides – Default: Off. Displays the 6 views (front, back, left, right, top, bottom) of 90° vertical and horizontal field of view with simple grey lines. Also toggles optional faces and text settings on or off.

Overlay Faces – Default: Off. Displays the 6 views (front, back, left, right, top, bottom) of 90° vertical and horizontal field of view as 6 different colour overlays. Only visible if Overlay Guides in on.

Overlay Text – Default: Off. Displays the 6 views (front, back, left, right, top, bottom) of 90° vertical and horizontal field of view with the names front, back, left, right, top, bottom. Only visible if Overlay Guides in on.

In my version of Reorient Sphere Express I can only adjust Tilt and Pan. Roll is missing. Is this a bug ?

    Thanks,
    Keez

    Hi Keez,

In the original specs for 360VR Express we didn’t include z-roll. I think it was a decision made to provide the simplest interface possible for beginners. However, I think it makes sense for us to add it back in. Look for it in the next update!

    Hi Benn,

You can download the latest beta of 360VR Express from https://we.tl/fTEzLnonfW Just quit AE, unzip the downloaded file, and double-click each of the files inside to automatically install them. Relaunch AE and you should see the beta version.
